This, the final book in the Writing is a Process series, brings together all of the characters and titles from the series into one wonderful ending. As the title suggests, the characters of this story will be presenting their books at an International Book Fair. Readers will see that by focusing on the task of writing a story by using a process, the final product will be something to celebrate. As with the other books, the illustrations by Milena Radeva and the text written by Terri Kelley work together effectively to create an engaging and educational story for people of all ages. By Jacqueline Ruiz for Readers' Favorite In this book, Kelley summarizes the whole process, beginning with brainstorming then the rough draft. To learn in-depth tips on the writing process, you can read Kelley's other books in the series. I congratulate Kelley for being able to talk about the writing process in the form of rhyme. It is a process that can be boring for most but Kelley is able to give it some life and make it very interesting. I've only read three books in this series, as a writer, it seems like a great resource to have in my library. I look forward to more of Kelley's work. The final book, Presenting: It's Time to Share, is the final book of eight in the Writing is a Process series. I wrote it to complete the series and, just as I did with the other books, I made this one as engaging, entertaining, and informative as possible. Presenting is often a step that is excluded or overlooked in the writing process, but I feel it is one that should always be included as an important and final step. Terri Kelley, M.Ed, is the author of dozens of books for children and adults including the Writing is a Process series, the chapter book series Gingerly, as well as many others. Her passion for writing and reading began when she was a very young girl. She was raised in Copperas Cove, Texas where she grew up outside the city limits where she enjoyed riding horses and having lots of freedom to explore her environment. It was an idyllic childhood. Terri is the mother of three adult children: Melynda, Jessica, and James. As they grew, each of her kids provided Terri with many fond memories which she incorporates into some of her writing. Now that they are adults, Terri enjoys her children's successes and keeps in close contact with each of them. In her life, Terri has held a couple of different careers. Her previous one was as a teacher, reading specialist, and gifted and talented specialist in Tomball, TX. Education has always been important to Terri and, as a result, she has earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as completing over thirty hours towards a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. It was during her time spent teaching and earning her higher level degrees that she became aware of the kinds of books children enjoyed reading. She also noticed areas of life, education, and learning in need of good children's books. You will find many of her books respond to these needs. Terri is very happily married to her best friend, Michael. Together, they live in Eugene, OR with their black Labrador, Oliver. Terri and Michael enjoy traveling together, fishing, going to the movies, and, of course, reading great books. They have many good friends with whom they enjoy spending time as well.
