He and his wife, Marcia Hammond Ogden, are the parents of four children and have fifteen grandchildren. Andrew C. Skinner, an emeritus professor of ancient scripture and Near Eastern studies, is a Richard L. Evans Professor of Religious Understanding at BYU, where he served as dean of Religious Education and as the first executive director of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship. Dr. Skinner has authored or coauthored more than two hundred articles and books on religious and historical topics and was the associate director of the BYU Jerusalem Center. He and his wife, Janet Corbridge Skinner, are the parents of six children and have ten grandchildren.
