Miss Rhonda's Readers Mini books are the perfect introduction to story reading for a young child. These adorable stories were written for use in classrooms and at home by a Montessori teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. Each 6 page story has from 6 to 26 mostly phonetic words. The titles are Bog, Picnic, Jobs, Shh!, and Corn. The five books are 4 1/2 by 4 inches and are printed in the US using soy based inks and FSC paper. Miss Rhonda's Readers were developed due to Miss Rhonda's frustration with a child's first experience reading a book. Such an exciting moment and a book about a rat in a van with ham doesn't do it justice. After hand writing individual stories for each child, Miss Rhonda's Readers SET ONE was published through a collaborative effort at her school. The rest is history. Miss Rhonda's students still test out each new story and offer suggestions. Caterpillars and frogs still occasionally roam free in the classroom. Children still joyfully come to school each morning and Miss Rhonda is still inspired by it all.
