Description

Inviting Faith: Foundations and Tools for Making Disciples by Randy Pope is an essential guide for Christians seeking to share their faith with confidence in today's culture. Published by Life on Life, a ministry of Perimeter Church, this paperback equips readers with foundational knowledge and time-tested tools that have been used around the world across different cultures, ethnicities, and languages. Drawing on content previously taught in evangelism training classes, Randy shares real-life stories of those who experienced the excitement of newfound faith and how it transformed their lives. The book includes practical suggestions on how to use Life on Life resources such as Life Issues booklets, Next Step booklets, and The Answer, along with multiple drawings and illustrations used in Randy's relational evangelism approach. Whether you want to reach family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers, Inviting Faith will help you step into any conversation and speak to the deep spiritual longings of those around you. Suitable for readers ages 12 and up. Randy Pope is the founding pastor of Perimeter Church in Johns Creek, GA. After 42 years of leading Perimeter Church, in September 2019, he moved into the role of full-time Assistant Pastor of Perimeter Church and President of Life on Life Ministries. He and his wife, Carol, moved to the Atlanta area in 1977 to plant Perimeter Church. Throughout his pastoral ministry, Randy has made it a priority to equip members of Perimeter Church with tools that allow them to share their faith with confidence. He has also done this with churches, organizations, and leaders worldwide. His personal passion and commitment is to make and train disciples of Christ. He has been discipling men for nearly 60 consecutive years. Many of the men he has discipled over the years are men who came to faith using the tools described in this book. Radical Dependence is adapted from the first sermon series I preached as Perimeter Church’s senior pastor in the fall of 2019. In this book, we’ll explore seven “roots” of radical dependence, all of which are anchored in the Word of God. Isaiah 61:3 says, “that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.” As we seek to be oaks of righteousness who are planted by the Lord for his glory, we need to consider the types of biblical roots, if you will, that nourish and support an “oak of righteousness.”
