AUTOMOTIVE SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL: Damplifier auto sound deadening material will deaden metal and stop structural noise to give any car a luxury feel. Used for car audio, hot rods, trucks, Jeeps, RVs – anywhere metal rattles. BUTYL RUBBER SHEET: We recommend a butyl sound deadener. Every sound deadening mat has some combination of rubber and other fillers, such as asphalt. It’s cheaper to use asphalt, but we avoid it due to health and performance concerns. HIGH QUALITY SOUND DEADENER: With an industry leading heat rating (450 F) and a proprietary combination of butyl rubber and annealed foil, Damplifier delivers quality lightweight sound dampening while meeting high health safety standards (RoHS compliant). HEAT AND SOUND DEADENING MATERIAL: Damplifier was engineered to be more than a sound dampener. The foil heat shield acts a radiant barrier and thermal insulator. Second Skin’s Damplifier solves noise problems in vehicles by going straight to the source – structural vibrations caused by road and tire noise, engine and exhaust systems, and car audio stereos. These vibrations cause metal surfaces (the floor, ceiling, doors, trunk, hood, and firewall) to emit the drone and rattles that create an unpleasant car environment.

  • Thermal range: -75 F to 450 F – will not melt, out gas, or fall off
  • Deadens any sheet metal, aluminum, or prepared fiberglass
  • NO cheap asphalt included and no roofing products in our vehicles. There’s too much research out there about the health risks of out-gased asphalt chemicals for us to sell that to our customers.
  • We recommend wearing gloves (the foil is sharp) and making application easier with a heavy duty hand roller
