While attending a K9 seminar many years ago, our friends from the Anchorage P.D. asked us to create a shortened heavy-duty leather waist lead, with an O-ring in the handle. Initially, it was a “one-off” order, designed and developed to fit their request. As word spread, more departments wanted that style, and it eventually became a staple for Ray Allen. Years later now, we offer variations made from Biothane, Grip-It nylon, tubular nylon, Old World leather, and our signature tac-black leather options. If you’re a working dog handler or trainer, it’s without a doubt a style that you own. It allows for minor corrections and overall better control of your K9 in busy environments; whether training, in field work, on a trail, or just walking around town.
The 46” Ray Allen Latigo Leather Waist Lead comes with an O-ring in the handle for convenient, hands-free use. The soft and supple Latigo Leather is 3/4” wide, with a flat braid, both at the base of the handle and just above the 3/4" solid brass bolt snap.
