Teakdecking Systems (TDS) SIS 440 Teak Deck Caulk Cartridge 10.3oz - Gray | Premium quality, first class appearance, UV & chemical resistant,($28.03Value)
HIGH QUALITY MARINE POLYMER – 10.3oz Cartridge of boat sealant waterproof caulking made with a one-part silane polymer that forms a solid, rubber-like compound. Offers excellent UV and chemical resistance, superior temperature stability, and is easy to sand. This marine grade sealant improves project turnover time and is trusted in long-term marine caulking applications. FLEXIBLE & PRIMER-FREE – Thixotropic paste that does not drip or sag, allowing for controlled application on vertical and horizontal seams. Stays flexible over time and requires no primer, making it an efficient marine sealant choice. Solvent-free and low waste, it's an environmentally conscious solution for marine use. FIRST-CLASS APPEARANCE – Our marine caulking sealant is designed for seams 3 to 10.3mm wide to achieve a clean, uniform finish on teak decks. Seam depth should be equal to or greater than seam width for proper adhesion. When used with bond-breaker tape, this marine caulk helps support long-lasting, visually consistent deck seams. OPTIMIZED CURE TIME FOR CONSISTENT RESULTS – Cures to a firm, flexible bond with reliable adhesion and durability, offering advantages over traditional polysulfide, polyurethane, and MS polymers. Gray caulk is sandable after a minimum of 15 days at 68°F (based on ¼" x ¼" seams). Larger seams may require more time. A dependable marine grade sealant for demanding environments. INDUSTRY-STANDARD FORMULA & PACKAGING OPTIONS – Available in black, white, and gray, with a 15-month shelf life from the date of manufacture (printed on cartridge). Meets ASTM C920 standards and manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility, making it a consistent and compliant option for ongoing marine caulking and decking work. SIS440 Caulk is the proven leader in the marine industry and was developed specifically for teak deck seams. It is a one-part, paste-like neutral cure formulation and when exposed to moisture in the air, it reacts to form a tough, flexible solid rubber compound. The sealant does not sag during cure, and has excellent temperature stability and chemical resistance once cured. Because the sealant is neutral cure, it is non-corrosive to all substrates and will not damage the surrounding environment or structures. Caulk is easy to sand and will not clog sandpaper. Sanding with a fine 100 or 120 grit sandpaper is recommended. Gray caulk will shrink somewhat when applied. To avoid having low seams, it is recommended that 1 or 2mm extra caulking is left above a fresh seam.
Store in a dry area at temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and below 80°F (26°C). Do not expose to direct sunlight, extreme heat, or freezing. The sealant has a shelf life of 18 months from manufacture date. See “BEST USED BY” date on packaging. Not designed for use under the waterline.
