The story of the New Testament is the story of the eight known primary authors (plus the three plus co-authors and one unknown author) and their respective recipients, the “back story” of the New Testament. Though their lives overlap and intertwine the events written about, much of their story is beyond the actual text of the New Testament. However, through a forensic study of the New Testament itself the story of the authors and the books they wrote is revealed. This book is laid out in a book chronological format, telling the story from the earliest book of the New Testament to the last books. It answers the questions; Who wrote the book?, Where were they when they wrote it?, When did they write the book?, Who did they write to?, and Why did they write book? Like the New Testament itself, the story of the nine primary authors (and subsequent co-authors) shows God’s grace and sovereignty in the circumstances that happened. Many of the events hung by the slightest thread of happenstance; yet, here we are today with the 27 books and the testimony of centuries of lives changed. The type and timing of the writing is truly miraculous in many aspects.
