If setting the nozzle too low will cause a filament buildup and easily scratch the print bed. Too high, the prints come off the build plate, can't stick onto the hotbed well. KEY factors for A Good Layer: Turn off the fan and Slow down the speed to 100 when do 3d printing project's first layer. A roll of dry filament also helps.
