BCuP-2 FLAT BRAZING RODS — Includes 7 copper-phosphorus rods, each 13.78 inches long with a 1/8 x 1/16 inch flat profile. Nominal composition: 7% phosphorus, copper remainder, and other elements ≤0.15%. SELF-FLUXING ON COPPER — Phosphorus acts as a fluxing agent when brazing copper to copper, so added flux is generally not required. Use a compatible brazing flux when joining brass or bronze. CONTROLLED FLOW — Recommended brazing range: 1310–1508°F. The alloy flows into close-fitting joints by capillary action to help form clean, consistent connections when surfaces are properly prepared and evenly heated. FOR HVAC COPPER LINES — Suitable for air-conditioning, refrigeration, evaporator, heat-exchanger and copper-pipe repair. Not intended for aluminum, iron or steel, and not a low-temperature soft solder. PROTECTIVE STORAGE TUBE — Seven brazings rods arrive in a reusable PVC tube for convenient storage and transport.
