Yearning For Paradise: A memoir of adoption, hope, adventure, and loss($6.99Value)

Description

My story begins with a sexual act between two people who were not married. Some weeks later, my existence was discovered, and that was not good news. Soon my mother was making plans to move to Denver, Colorado, to hide the pregnancy. Her obstetrician was the world-famous Dr. Robert Bradley, known for his book and movement, Husband-Coached Childbirth, although in this case there would be no husband there, as there was no husband. When I was born, I was given up for adoption. My mother returned to Wisconsin and soon became pregnant again while still unmarried. My birth parents quickly married and the three children they raised never knew that I existed. The secret remained for more than fifty-eight years. If your life has been touched by adoption or abandonment, then this story is likely to be relatable and meaningful to you even though you have traveled a different path. Even if you were raised in your birth family you will be surprised to discover that our lives might not be all that different. No family is perfect, and every family experiences good and bad times. Join me as I recount some experiences from my life. Orphanage, childhood, rebellion, conversion, marriage, twelve children, a successful business, a happy life, and all while yearning for paradise. Remember, life doesn’t always go the way we expect. Sometimes it’s better.
