Description

WHOLE CALIFORNIA MEDJOOL DATES: Two 9 oz cups of whole Medjool dates, 18 oz total, grown and packed on our family farm in the Coachella Valley. SOFT, SWEET EVERYDAY DATES: Tender Medjool dates we call “Grinders” — the same fruit as our signature gift boxes, packed for everyday snacking and baking. WHOLE DATES WITH THE SEED INSIDE: Like olives or cherries, these whole dates have the natural seed inside, easy to remove before eating. USDA ORGANIC, CALIFORNIA-GROWN: Hand-picked in the Coachella Valley by our family-run, women-owned farm. No sugar or preservatives added. TWO 9 OZ CUPS, 18 OZ TOTAL: Portioned cups of Medjool dates for snacking at home, school, the gym, or the office. Rancho Meladuco Organic Medjool Dates – The Grinders What do we do with the imperfect dates, the too small, too dry, or too ugly dates? These dates are still delicious and nutritious and are perfect for blending, baking or using in recipes where texture, size and appearance don’t matter. We have packaged these “Grinders” (as we affectionately call them) in a portable and compact 9 oz. cup — perfect for school, gym, office and your pantry! These dates are characterized by skin separation, cracking, grazing, scarring, and can also include small or drier dates, and sugaring. Sugaring is a naturally occurring condition where the sugar syrup in the date flesh crystallizes and creates crystals and sugar crusts in and around the fruit. We call them bonus bits of crunchy sweetness so don't be afraid of sugaring! “Grinders” contain all the nutrients and sweetness of the “prettier” dates but because of their cosmetic “defects” and other attributes we like to use them in recipes that call for dates, blending, etc. — but they are great for snacking too and are a wallet friendly alternative to traditional dates found in stores. We know you'll love them too because everybody loves a great date!
