INDUSTRIAL DIN-RAIL FIBER SWITCH, -40 to +75C: snaps onto a standard 35mm DIN rail in a control cabinet or roadside enclosure. IP40 metal housing, fanless, and only 26mm slim so it fits where a desktop switch will not. 4 GIGABIT RJ-45 PORTS + 1 ST FIBER UPLINK: switch four local devices - PLC, IP camera, HMI, PC - and carry them all back over one multimode ST fiber run. Each copper port auto-senses 10/100/1000 Mbps and negotiates duplex automatically. MULTIMODE ST, 550 m (1,804 ft) OVER 850nm FIBER: the ST module is built into the unit and factory-aligned, so there is nothing to fit or match. WORKS ON OM1 THROUGH OM5: links over 62.5/125 OM1 and over 50/125 OM2, OM3, OM4 and OM5 - OM4 and OM5 are backward compatible at 850nm, so newer fiber works too and you do not need to match a specific grade. Reach does depend on grade: the full 550 m applies to OM2 and better, while OM1 (62.5/125) carries Gigabit a shorter distance. THREE WAYS TO POWER IT: run it from the AC adapter, from USB, or straight off a DC rail already in your cabinet. Useful when panel space or spare outlets are tight. REPLACES A CONVERTER PLUS A SWITCH: one unit does the fiber-to-copper conversion AND the 4-port switching, so you save a device, a power outlet and the DIN rail space that a separate media converter would take. MULTIMODE ONLY - CHECK YOUR FIBER: the fiber side is 850nm multimode with a built-in ST connector. It will NOT link over single-mode fiber or with a different connector type.
