Then, Now, and When is a collection of Christian poetry with a continual pattern of recalling what God has done in the past, being aware of what He’s doing now, and expectantly awaiting what He will do in the future. Included are themes of finding hope, peace, love, freedom, and belonging in God, as well as with His people. The reality of suffering isn’t hidden though; honest thoughts and reflections on hardships experienced as a Christian are included throughout. Still, the ultimate redemption of Jesus remains the overarching theme. Some of these poems are desperate pleas, others are joyful victory songs, and many are somewhere in between. Yet, they all reflect the faithfulness of God in one way or another. The bottom line of this collection is that, in Christ, the best is truly yet to come.
