Hope From Habakkuk: Living by Faith in Difficult Times($9.99Value)

Description

The Old Testament book of Habakkuk focuses on the prophet’s prayerful conversation with God as he receives the Lord’s decree of coming judgment for Judah. He wondered how God could be silent when the wicked swallow up those more righteous than they. As the exchange continues, God answers the prophet’s complaint. And though the response may not be what Habakkuk hoped for, it guides him to a place of renewed faith. In our present times, we relate to Habakkuk’s distress. It seems injustice prevails when we long for good to triumph. Like Habakkuk, we question God when tragedy and suffering come. Habakkuk’s response provides a faithful example: one that waits for the Lord to speak, acknowledges His sovereignty, prays for mercy, and resolves to worship no matter what. This study is designed for those who struggle to understand the Lord’s purposes in troubling circumstances. Readers will examine six key verses in the prayerful exchange between the prophet and the Lord. Reflective questions are included to facilitate deeper understanding and application.
