Description

A 7-Day Devotional for Naming Your Need, Finding Your Voice, and Meeting Jesus in a Weary Mind Healing does not begin with pretending. It begins with naming. Before the Healing is a seven-day devotional written for the trauma-aware believer — the one who loves Jesus but feels tired, overwhelmed, emotionally flooded, or spiritually distant. This is for the reader who knows Scripture yet still struggles to feel safe in their own thoughts. The one who serves others while silently battling shame, grief, anxiety, or unprocessed pain. In this deeply honest and compassionate devotional, Valencia L. Lee gently guides you through: • Naming the need you’ve buried beneath responsibility and faith language • Reclaiming your voice without guilt or apology • Understanding the connection between trauma and your spiritual life • Meeting Jesus not as a performance, but as a Person in the weary places Each day offers reflective teaching, Scripture, guided prompts, and space for emotional honesty — without pressure to “fix” yourself by the end of the week. This is not a devotional about rushing the breakthrough. It is about honoring what comes before it. Written for faith-based communities, ministry leaders, caregivers, and everyday believers who are learning that healing and holiness are not enemies — this devotional creates room for both spiritual formation and emotional awareness. If you have ever felt like you needed permission to tell the truth about your pain while still holding onto your faith, this book was written with you in mind. Because sometimes the most sacred thing you can do… is tell the truth before the healing. Valencia L Lee
