This book reveals the clean Gospel of John from the New Testament in the ClearTextProject (CTP). The Gospel of John is the first release and Genesis will be next. CTP John 1:1 states "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was toward God, and God was the Word." The CTP is not based on any English translation (KJV, NIV, ESV, etc.). We translate directly from the best available Greek and Hebrew critical texts. Our goal is maximum literal fidelity while using plain, stripped-down English. For the Gospel of John specifically: We are using the NA28 Greek text as the base. This book also explores how the CTP Christian viewpoint should move forward in light of the many other traditions and worldviews examined earlier - Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Protestant (including Baptist, Reformed Baptist, and Arminian), Latter-day Saint, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Shinto, and various political and ideological systems (Republican, Democrat, Democratic Socialist, Communist Party of China, and the Indian secular state). Rather than attempting to compete with or replicate these systems, CTP is positioned to offer something distinct yet potentially unifying: a commitment to textual transparency, personal responsibility, and relational obedience centered on the two greatest commandments.
